Information

Data becomes information when it has context. if we know what the data items refer to, then we can make use of them.
Computers are good at handing data - for them, all data is a stream of bits. What they do with these bits depends on the software that's being used.
Input to a computer can be regarded as data. Output from a computer might be data for anocher system or might be information that human can use.
